What are Codex pets?
Codex pets are small animated characters that live inside Codex. A complete package usually includes pet.json metadata and a spritesheet.webp animation file.

Download free Codex pets
Open any gallery page to preview the animation, copy the install command, and download the package when pet.json and spritesheet.webp are available.
Install a Codex pet
Use the install command from a pet page, then choose the downloaded pet in Codex settings after the package is available locally.
Make your own Codex pet
Start with a pet idea, create pet.json and spritesheet.webp, then publish the package so others can preview, download, and share it.
Publish your pet
Put your pet on a page people can use.
Upload pet.json and spritesheet.webp together. The page shows the preview, file links, package download, creator name, and related pets.
